Logbook, June, Laura and Paolo here.
The two of us are back for this June page, with some free thoughts around the internal gardens.
We have represented them in the t-shirt of the new collection, through the unique style of Giulia Criveller, aka Juls, who knows how to give shape to our ideas. In addition to sharing the spaces of the Spinning mill , Giulia interprets our collections through drawing and writing.
Nella t-shirts, a frame formed by a spontaneous brush stroke contains various symbols: vases with irregular shapes, a twig, a fruit, flowers, a bowl, waves that recall the sea. Each of us can recognize ourselves in one of these deeply evocative forms, because we all have a place where we can find the most authentic version of ourselves, where grow flowers with the most varied shapes and colors.
We stopped to think about our inner gardens: rituals, places, objects and habits that make us feel good and we want to tell you about them.

Laura: places and rituals that make me flourish again
I started practicing yoga about ten years ago and I remember that every class was a discovery.
Something was changing inside me, I felt that it was the beginning of a personal growth that I would carry forward as a philosophy of life.
In that period I needed to return to myself and cultivate my well-being. I continued to do yoga on my own for years, but I recently started doing it in person again, consistently, and I have never felt better. As my teacher suggests, in that moment I let go of roles and responsibilities and find my being unchanged and immutable.
I grew up in the countryside, so my connection with nature is intrinsic. However, I only realized how strong it was when I found myself living in a big city: constantly looking for green spaces to breathe in and plants I could grow at home..
Now that we are physically closer to our families, I am fortunate to be able to enjoy a large vegetable garden at my parents' house. There I carved out my own little messy space, which is full of aromatic herbs that grow too much and seasonal vegetables that, sometimes, don't grow enough. The feeling of being there, even toiling, getting dirty and sweating, as well as gratefully collecting everything that arises, for me is synonymous with peace and a safe refuge.

Paolo: first of all, I run
I hate waking up in the morning and being overwhelmed by things to do.
I immediately become nervous and in a bad mood scrolling through messages and emails that require a response before I can even activate my brain. So, I take a moment just for myself, which has now become a ritual.
I turn on my playlist and go out for my daily run. It's early in the morning, there are still few people around, it's peaceful. Whatever the weather conditions I run, in fact, if it rains it's even more beautiful.

It's my way of carving out a moment for myself and finding the energy needed to face the day. During the week I run in Restera, a sheltered street surrounded by greenery that runs along the Sile river, just outside Treviso. When I can, however, generally on weekends, I go for a run at the seaside.
One thing I would like to do more often is travel. To change perspective, see new things and come back different. I have discovered that thanks to the comparison with new realities, differences and contrasts, I am able to get to know myself a little more, also finding a new perspective on the work I am doing.
Laura and I share a passion for walking: a way of traveling that allows you to discover new places and conquer a goal with the sole strength of your legs. Each journey is also an ideal and real moment away from the daily frenzy, in which we share unexpected events and difficulties, but also many satisfactions.
A commitment to feel good
In a time that requires us to be highly and constantly performing and always pushes us outwards, choosing to dedicate space to what truly nourishes us is a precious gesture. Whether in nature, movement, travel or creativity, our inner gardens continue to remind us who we are and what we want to cultivate in everyday life.
If slowing down, or even stopping, sounds completely unpopular in today's world, we strongly recommend it. Shelter and care are a central theme of the spring/summer collection, they tell not only our need to find a relaxed state of mind, but a lifestyle that we have made our own and that we want to pass on and share with those who choose our clothes.
So, stop, take your time and do what you like.
Laura and Paolo
