Under the same moon: the new autumn/winter collection

Logbook, September, Laura here.

Here we are, our autumn 2026 collection is out and we are happy to be able to tell you about it. In designing it, we thought long and hard about the relationship between exploration and belonging, between the desire to discover the world and the innate need we all have to feel part of something.

We called it Under the Same Moon and it is our love letter to this magical satellite, which lights up our nights with its eternal charm.

An unexpected reflection

It was a Thursday evening and I was at my usual yoga class. The studio I frequent is located in a mezzanine with a beamed ceiling, interspersed with small windows on the roof that allow glimpses of slices of sky. The lesson always takes place under soft lighting, which is softly reflected on the large mirrors on the walls, together with our silhouettes.

That evening I was particularly focused on maintaining my balance: my torso stretched towards one leg, my arm pointed forward and my head rotated towards the wall. I was observing my shaky figure reflected in the mirror, when, like a vision, the moon appeared in front of me, who knows from what angle of the little window which, instead, appeared dark when looked at. In an attempt to share that faint reflection with her, a smile escaped me and I thought that yes, the moon would be the heart and theme of the new collection.

The moon, between exploration and belonging

The moon is a universal symbol, a natural element that belongs to everyone. Think about it, it is always she who illuminates places that are very distant from each other; to accompany travellers, to mark time and to create a sense of connection between different people.

It has always fascinated me and, whenever I can, I try to raise my eyes and let that feeling of immensity and unknown that it can arouse pass through me.

In fact, the moon is interpreted through two complementary dimensions: on the one hand its call to exploration, discovery and movement; on the other, its more intimate and poetic dimension, as a symbol of closeness, equality and sharing. And our collection also develops like this, in a dialogue between outdoor clothing and workwear and a more cozy and contemplative dimension. Our values remain strong, therefore functionality, comfort, natural materials and garments designed to accompany everyday life.

Exploration: facing every day as a new journey

Looking at the moon means imagining what we don't yet know, orienting ourselves towards new possibilities.

This part of the collection is inspired by the world of work and outdoor clothing. The suits consisting of the Apollo trousers and the coordinated jacket become a contemporary uniform to face daily challenges.

The fabrics have a material presence, such as sturdy canvas and denim, enhanced by washes that give depth and character to the garments. The palette then recalls the moonlight and nocturnal landscapes: blue jeans, washed gray denim, old-effect black, work blue, warmed by beige, pale yellow and ecru. Among the key pieces of the capsule we find the blue work suit, inspired by traditional workwear overalls and the dungarees with interchangeable straps: a versatile and fun garment, which invites you to personalize your way of wearing it.

The moon as a bond: an intimate and shared dimension

The second soul of the collection is born, however, from the more romantic meaning of the moon, where observing it means looking towards the same natural element, feeling close and remembering that we all belong to the same landscape.

This part of the collection, which will develop further in the winter capsule, explores a softer and more welcoming imagery, through garments designed for comfort and slowness. Soft sweatshirts with embroidery and sturdy materials enter the scene, for a feeling of authentic protection.

The silhouettes become more enveloping, the garments follow the body without forcing it, while the accessories add delicacy to the look. The result is minimal trousers with a wide, curved leg and a collar to be worn as an independent element, blue and gray checked.

Colors, fabrics and inspirations

The visit to Milano Unica last January also inspired me in defining the palette. Among the many proposals at the fair, I was particularly struck by an electric blue, pale yellow and silver palette, colors that interact perfectly with the cold and almost surreal light of the moon.

The section was called Performing Space and featured high-performance technical and futuristic fabrics, designed to adapt to the needs of the body and the environment. It made me think that the search for performance and functionality does not necessarily have to look to the future. Sometimes we can find very sophisticated answers in materials that we have been using for a long time, just like hemp: a precious, resistant and breathable fabric, capable of contributing to the regulation of body temperature and adapting to different climatic conditions.

Behind the scenes: the shooting

The visit to Milano Unica was also decisive in the styling of the looks shot for the new campaign. Bright, silver, reflective shoes, hair accessories and makeup.

Then there is Giulia's touch, who proposed a setup for the set conceptually inspired by the surface of the moon. The backdrop for the photos was made up of sheets of crumpled wrapping paper, joined together (deliberately imprecisely) with adhesive tape. This created a play of shadows and a moving, imperfect, hand-made atmosphere.

Towards winter, always under the same moon

If the autumn capsule introduced colors inspired by the lunar landscape and the world of workwear, winter will bring with it deeper and more enveloping shades: military green, brown-purple, mauve and an accent of red. We will present a wool suit, consisting of wide trousers with elastic and a coordinated shirt.

But I would suggest that we take one step at a time and in the meantime enjoy this long-awaited moment. Let's let the seasons pass the baton with their natural rhythm and, in the meantime, let's not forget to keep our gaze turned upwards.

In these months of research, I came across a phrase by Tiziano Terzani who writes “By looking at the sky and breathing deeply the fresh night air, I felt like I was filling myself with stars”. Now I feel a bit like that and I really like it.

Tales from the spinning mill it is our logbook, a column that keeps you updated on the latest from the atelier, allowing you to get to know us a little more closely, from month to month.
