Where home is family, memories, and roots
It all began like this: a trip and love at first sight.
When Giorgia and Emmanuel visited Sardinia, they fell in love with it. They returned every summer, while their family grew: five children. The summer months became an opportunity to enjoy a slower pace of life, where they could devote themselves to each other and leave everything else behind.
Many years later, Albero Capovolto was born when Alessandro, Giorgia and Emmanuel's youngest son, decided to honor the home where he had spent so many happy summers and open it up to the world by transforming it into a boutique hotel.
"My parents instilled in me the idea of a dream that knows no boundaries, accustoming me to thinking that if a place wins you over, you can decide to turn your life upside down, and that's what I did. Today, my whole world is here. The house and its objects, steeped in history, collect memories and restore beauty, just like the branches of a tree. But the search for my roots is what has always driven everything, which is why I decided to turn that tree upside down and make it the name and symbol of my refuge, which I now share with others."

The discreet charm of slowness
When I came here as a child, there was no television, and my siblings and I played with whatever we could find, cultivating our imagination. We had plenty of time to switch off, observe the nature around us, and rest. The gate was always open, and we welcomed visitors with ease and an unfailing spirit of sharing. Our neighbors knew they were welcome at any time. I am so used to being surrounded by people that turning my family home into a hotel was very natural."
Alessandro's hotel does not have a lobby. When guests arrive, he invites them to sit down, offers them something to drink, and gives them a tour of the house, telling them stories and anecdotes, just as you would do with a friend visiting your home for the first time.
The seven rooms where the family once slept are now a refuge for those who come to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of Albero Capovolto, which Alessandro has chosen to make adults only. Here, couples find silence broken only by the sounds of nature. The hotel staff move attentively, whispering, making sure that every guest feels special at all times.
Two kilometers
awayis the sea of the Gulf of Marinella, surrounded by Sardinian nature, cultivated fields, and Mediterranean touches. In this area, every house must have some form of production, even if small. At Albero Capovolto, olive and fruit trees grow. Everything ripens without haste, nature changes constantly, and with it, the landscape.

Where spirit and body are nourished
The house is furnished with travel souvenirs, collections of ceramics and fabrics, and a few typical Sardinian pieces. These are complemented by Alessandro's favorite objects and furnishings. who
,
as a designer with twenty years of experience in the furniture industry, has a natural flair for beauty. He shares his selection with guests in the rooms and at the table, but also in the hotel's shop, "Casa e bottega."In the kitchen, only Sardinian products are used.
"The ingredients we bring to the table not only tell the story of the territory, but also the story of those who produce them, and for the most part, these are family stories like mine, which I have grown fond of over time."

More than a hotel, a place of the soul
For Alessandro, giving happy memories to those who spend a few days in his hotel is the best way to honor the memory of the house. When guests leave, he gives them a Polaroid photo taken during their stay, with a few handwritten lines of farewell. Some guests return every year and collect the Polaroids taken of them, a small collection of travel memories that warms the heart when Sardinia is far away.
"All my fondest family memories are here. This is where I learned to swim, where I cultivated my friendships, where I had my first kiss. Holidays were a time when my parents devoted themselves entirely to us, far from all the responsibilities of the city. For me, this is much more than a nest; it represents who I am in every way. Like many family homes, when we grew up and my parents grew old, the habit of returning was lost, but I couldn't allow this house to ever be forgotten. It has been an evolution: a house that welcomed us and was important to us can now become important to those who come to visit me, the setting for many other happy memories that someone will cherish in their heart as I do."
